May 23 – Professional Mentorship at National Louis University


Want to make a difference in the life of a first-generation college student? Volunteer one afternoon as a professional mentor!

Who will I be mentoring?
Low-income, first-generation college students in NLU’s innovative Pathways program

What will I be doing?
You will help students grow professionally in a low-stakes environment, by giving feedback and meaningful as they share their resumes, give elevator pitches, and answer mock interview questions. Don’t worry if you aren’t sure what to do – the first hour of the afternoon will be a mentor orientation.

Where is this happening?
National Louis University’s downtown campus at 122 S. Michigan Avenue

When in this happening?
Wednesday May 23 from 12:30-3:30.

Why should I do this?
You are a young professional or graduate student who better understands the demands of today’s job market better than any professor. Also, you like to help others. And, you’re interested in joining the AGBU YPS for happy hour after the session.
